Run4Life Virtual tours on project website

In the EU Green Week, Run4Life participated with two partner events: the On-site and virtual Open Day of the demonstration sites, and the 2nd Innovation Workshop.

The Run4Life 2nd Innovation Workshop, organised by project partner Isle Utilities, was an online event focused on the fertilisers produced at our four demonstration sites. The main discussion points were around the marketability of these products, the results of the LCA and BCA as well as the social perception around this type of fertilisers. An example of a business case was presented showing how a water utility has worked together with a technology provider to produce fertilisers that could be marketable. It was a great opportunity to showcase some of the project results and receive feedback from key end-users. A short event report and a selection of the presentations can be found on our website.

During the On-site and virtual Open Day, the four Run4Life demonstration sites presented themselves online, sharing updates and results of their ongoing developments. In Oceanhamnen (Helsingborg, Sweden) and Nieuwe Dokken (Ghent, Belgium) people are moving in and the wastewater treatment and resource recovery technologies have been started up. In Lemmerweg (Sneek, the Netherlands) the High Temperature Anaerobic Digestion of highly concentrated toilet wastewater started operations. And in business centre Porto do Molle (Nigrán, Spain) research of new recovery technologies is making progress. This event simultaneously took place on-site at demonstration site Porto do Molle. After the online plenary session, the on-site participants joined a guided tour of the demonstration site and had the opportunity for networking. Online participants could join breakout rooms for each of the other demonstration sites, where they were shown a virtual tour and had the opportunity of Q&A with the demo-site leader. A short event report and a selection of the presentations can be found on our project website, as well as the virtual tours for all four demo-sites.
