Final Conference of the NUTRI-CHECK NET Project: Steps to optimise crop nutrition
The project has focused on three key crops (corn, potato, and wheat ), testing and improving nutrient management strategies across diverse agro-climatic regions. Its main results include the NUTRI-CHECK NET Platform, designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and advisory support, and a comprehensive Cost–Benefit Analysis (CBA) to assess the economic and environmental performance of different fertilisation practices.
Their Final Conference will gather experts, practitioners, and decision-makers to discuss the future of nutrient management in Europe.
The programme includes:
- Challenges in Nutrient Management in Europe, featuring insights from farmers, cooperatives, and advisors;
- Tools for Better Nutrient Management, showcasing digital and analytical innovations;
- Co-creation and Best Practices, highlighting socio-economic and policy perspectives; and
- Horizon Europe Shaping Crop Nutrient Management, presenting synergies with other EU projects such as NUTRI-KNOW, STRATUS, LEGUMES, and NENUPHAR.
The event will conclude with a panel discussion on Bridging Sectors for a Better Future, reflecting on the role of governance, innovation, and collaboration in achieving sustainable nutrient cycles.
