FUELGAE: Sustainable on-site and innovative technologies for advanced transport biofuels from mιcroalgae

The FUELGAE project advances fossil-free aviation and shipping by producing liquid fuels from microalgae using CO₂ from biorefineries and heavy industries.

The project partners tailor algae to each case study, applying selective cultivation, biomass treatments, catalytic upgrading, and online sensors. A global Digital Twin supports the process. FUELGAE also uses hydrothermal liquefaction and biogas systems to create biochar for testing in agriculture
