Phos4You films portray P recovery options

Filmmaker Hans von Sonntag is excited about Phos4You’s approach. With his camera he accompanies the partnership to visualise P recovery from wastewater: ” It is admirable how committed the scientists are to research for recovering the finite and essential resource Phosphorus from wastewater. My personal interest is to provide an audio-visual platform for this important issue”.

Under the lead of LIPPERVERBAND 12 partners from 7 countries apply innovative technologies to recycle the finite resource Phosphorus. 6 recovery processes are tested in demonstrators under real environment. The first portraits are published now: One shows P recovery from sewage sludge ashes as an interesting option for EU countries in which incineration of sewage sludge is common practice. Another film portrait shows P recovery from wastewater. Here an innovative technology recovers the P during incineration – a ready-to-use P fertiliser is the product.
