HarvRESt: Harnessing the vast potential of renewable energy for sustainable farming
The project is developing three main tools:
- an Agricultural Virtual Power Plant (AVPP) to simulate and optimize RES configurations;
- a Decision Support System (DSS) to recommend the best energy integration solutions;
- a Business Model Catalogue covering financial schemes and innovative business models for farmers.
The work is grounded in five real-world use cases across Italy, Denmark, Spain, and Norway, involving a diverse mix of farm types, technologies, and stakeholders.
