The implementation of RENURE is a crucial step towards environmental, agricultural and socio-economic sustainability

The ESNI Community, a cluster of European research projects dedicated to research on nutrient (re)cycling, considers the RENURE implementation to be a necessary policy implementation at European level, yet currently upcoming steps are in the hands of the member states with specific interest for the Environment and Agriculture policy domains.

We respectfully call upon the European Commission to consider this position in the upcoming vote in the Nitrates Committee scheduled in June 2025.

The ESNI community, representing a broad coalition of the European research & innovation sector, remains fully committed to supporting the Commission in shaping a resilient and sustainable agriculture. We welcome the opportunity for further dialogue and stand ready to contribute constructively to the next stages of this important process.
