H2O-C2C

The processing of manure into dischargeable water is done in agriculture by further purifying the effluent after biological treatment with the help of constructed wetlands (also known as 'artificial cleansing marshes'). However, research results show that this endwater is not immediately suitable for reuse.

The H2O-C2C project sought to achieve a final breakthrough by further purifying dischargeable effluent using membrane filter techniques to produce water of a high quality to be used, for instance, as drinking water for pigs.
